Basketball with 411 Brand Athletics is a structured environment that teaches the fundamentals of basketball and life lessons to boys and girls in GR1-5 . During each session, the 411 Basketball Academy prepares each member to become a better basketball player mentally as well as physically. Each basketball instructor trains each participant to become a better shooter, passer, rebounder and ball handler students will be grouped based on skill and grade level consideration into two groups. OPEN TO GRADE 4-5 STUDENTS ONLY- second hour class Drones and Design Students will delve into the world of material science as they learn the properties of flight and experiment with creating their own built-from-scratch drones. Students will be responsible for the upkeep and health of their trainer drone that they will use to practice obstacle flying, learn battery management and hone their piloting skills. Drone safety is our number-one priority! Students will work on learning drone safety according to FAA and AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) guidelines. FORE!!! Overtime Sports Golf program is designed to instill important life skills and character building qualities that are essential for the development of each student. The program provides students with beginning, intermediate, and advanced level junior golfing instruction in a no-pressure environment. Students will learn golf history, etiquette, grip, stance, posture, putting, specialty shots, and a variety of other skills. Each student will have a precise understanding of how the game is played from tee to green. Students who demonstrate aptitude and interest for the sport can advance their golf skills to the competitive level, while others can participate in the sport for fun. Please wear PE type clothes. Junior Robotics and More! This course serves as an exciting hands-on introduction to the world of robots. No prior experience with robotics is necessary. During each session students will explore concepts of working with and programming robots using a number of different platforms including LEGO, Sphero and Ozobots. Senior Robotics and FIRST LEGO League Competition—BioGlow Robotics encourages the exploration and application of STEAM based principals through building and programming robots for students ages 9-14 in preparation for the FLL competition in December 2026. No previous experience with robotics is necessary. During the semester, students will work as a team to: • Design and program a robot that can score points on a competition board filled with LEGO challenges. • Research and prepare an innovation project related to the theme Bioglow. • Develop and deliver a presentation covering their robot design and strategy, innovation project and core values at the FLL competition. In this year’s theme—Bioglow—FLL teams will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore biodiversity, nature-inspired innovation, and ecosystem connections. Returning students will be given the freedom to build upon past experiences on new platforms and challenges. Activities focus on honing critical thinking skills, perseverance and teamwork as students learn to program, use sensors and design attachments. In addition to building a robot for the competition, we will take time out of each session to explore other robotics platforms as we expand our horizons. Some of the robots we will use include: Hexbug Nanos, Spheros, Lego Mindstorms and more. The class fee helps cover two team registration fees (with FIRST and with Georgia Tech), a team practice kit and a team shirt for the FLL competition. Soccer with Overtime Sports is an active program for boys and girls designed to develop an interest in the game and establish a solid foundation in preparation for recreational or club soccer. We are able to accomplish this by making sure the number one ingredient is present at all times: FUNdamentals! Students will learn various elements of the game such as passing, trapping, dribbling, shooting, and ball control. The sessions are composed of exciting games such as Terminator, Sting Ray, and World Cup. Tap Ballet is a combination class split with 30 minutes of Tap and 30 minutes of Ballet. This is a great class for the young dancer who wants to learn the fundamentals of both Tap and Ballet. Classes touch on both warm-up and technique of both disciplines, as well as proper arm, leg, and foot positions. Studio Go’s Tap Ballet program is a progressive program that introduces more complex technique and patterns of movement to challenge the elementary student. These classes are perfect for both beginners and the more serious dance student. Our teachers are prepared and evaluate where each student is (level) to make sure that all students are both comfortable and challenged at the same time. Tennis Principals with All Star Athletics: Fun and Finesse is the name of this game! Children K-5th will learn the 101 on Tennis while focusing on agility, footwork, sportsmanship and a variety of shots including Volley's and Groundstrokes!
